“Oops” He says

This page is dedicated to those quotes made by politicians that deserve an “oops” at the end. These are only quotes that were meant to be said. They were scripted, teleprompted, and memorised, and the day after the speech they were taken back, called a “botched joke”, and amended. This is for all those news making speeches that politicians wish hadn’t made news.

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

John Kerry, in his Presidential Campaign

“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Barack Obama, In his Presidential Campaign

“Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, these countries are tiny, they don’t pose a serious threat to us.”

Barack Obama, In his Presidential Campaign

This is a living page, I can only put down the comments I catch or hear, and frankly, most of the ones I catch will be from Democrats, so help me out by finding these and post a comment here. If the quote belongs on this page, I will add it, If not, I will respond in a comment underneath.
